Life Time has expanded its national footprint. With a portfolio of over 175 athletic country clubs across the U.S. and Canada, its newest location, Life Time North Druid Hills in Atlanta, GA, opened on Monday, December 16. The new location marks the eighth in Atlanta and the first in DeKalb County for Life Time.

Life Time reported in a media release that it completely renovated a former Athletic Club Northeast space to house the North Druid Hills Club.

“We’ve seen tremendous growth in the demand for our Life Time offerings throughout the country, including this exciting opening in Atlanta,” said Parham Javaheri, president of Club Operations and chief of Property Development. “We continue to expand through strategic acquisitions such as our new North Druid Hills location and soon-to-come Perimeter club, along with our recently renovated Peachtree Corners tennis and pickleball destination. All of these allow for more racquet sports in addition to the elevated social, training, recovery, play, and relaxation experiences that we’re known for.”

The club sits on eight acres within a canopy of trees, reflecting Atlanta’s “City in the Forest” nickname. The one-level 65,000 square-foot indoor club includes outdoor spaces designed for relaxation and racquet sports. The resort-style outdoor area features a beach club with a pool deck, a leisure pool, private cabanas and chairs, and a bistro. The club also has 12 outdoor racquet sport courts for pickleball and tennis with a courtside lounge and bar for viewing and post-match socials.

Inside, Life Time North Druid Hills offers five studios for barre, cycling, group fitness, hot and traditional yoga, and Pilates. The club also provides dedicated spaces for its Group Training programs, Alpha, GTX and UltraFit. Nearly 150 classes are offered weekly, along with other upscale amenities.

Life Time entered Georgia in 2006, opening its first athletic country club in Alpharetta, GA. Since then, it has expanded to include the metro areas of Sugarloaf, Johns Creek, Woodstock, Peachtree Corners, Sandy Springs, and Buckhead, the latter two feature Life Time Workspaces for members looking for a co-working experience.

The company recently completed a renovation at Life Time Peachtree Corners, which now has 31 pickleball and 18 tennis courts in addition to other premium amenities. Life Time Perimeter, the company’s ninth Atlanta club, is scheduled to open in 2025

In addition to its clubs, Life Time owns and produces nearly 30 iconic U.S.-based athletic events.
