Life is Good Co. opened its 100th store in Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, CO. Jake's on Pearl, a Life is Good 'Genuine Neighborhood Shoppe,' had its grand opening Nov. 19 at 1468 Pearl St. The 1,200-square-foot space had most recently been occupied by a Subway, according to a report in the Daily Camera in Boulder.
The franchised location will be operated by Camila and Ricardo Bottome, a couple who started an outdoor specialty chain of stores in Venezuela 20 years ago.
Jim Laughlin, a Life is good spokesman, said Jake's on Pearl marks the 100th retail store for company.
It also marks a return to Boulder as another store 1142 Pearl St. was closed last year amid the downturn.
“We're happy to have another go at” the Boulder market, Laughlin said.
