Life Fitness has hired Matt Smith as vice president, marketing. Smith will be responsible for leading the company’s global marketing strategy.

Prior to joining Life Fitness, Smith was chief strategy & marketing officer with Certify, a SaaS-based expense and travel management software company, where he guided the business’s global strategic brand and growth plans. Prior to Certify, he was the executive vice president of marketing with Performance Sports Group (Bauer Hockey, Easton Baseball, Maverik & Cascade Lacrosse), where he led growth and market share through consumer-focused marketing and sales programs. He spent the previous 11 years in roles of increasing responsibility with Proctor & Gamble, Unilever and Ernest & Julio Gallo.
