Liberated Brands Europe has been acquired by OneTurn S.A.S., a company newly formed by members of Liberated’s leadership team — CEO Joost Grootswagers and COO Antoine Lanusse.
The acquisition by Grootswagers and Lanusse is reported as the result of a determined effort by the Liberated Brands Europe team to “preserve and grow the business independently.” This transition is also intended to “ensure brand continuity, with the operational structure remaining intact.
All employees, collaborators and partners of Liberated Brands Europe will continue to play a central role in maintaining the company’s “DNA, culture and communities that define Volcom and Spyder,” the company said in a media release. These iconic brands will continue to “grow and evolve across the European market with authenticity and integrity.”
The new structure will allow Liberated Brands Europe to “operate with agility and independence while maintaining long-term relationships with all stakeholders.”
