Leatherman Tool Group, Inc., parent company to Leatherman multi-tools and LED Lenser lights, has appointed Scott Pugliese vice president of product engineering of Leatherman Tool. Pugliese will be located at the Portland, OR manufacturing headquarters and report to Leatherman Tool President Ben Rivera.
Pugliese has been with Leatherman for eight years and has extensive knowledge of engineering operations. Prior to this role Pugliese held multiple positions within Leatherman, most recently as Director of Product Engineering. He has an extensive background in the automotive and consumer product industries, and holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University and a MBA from the executive MBA program at University of Oregon.
“I have worked with Scott for eight years in product engineering,” said Rivera. “He has shown his ability to be an effective strategic thinker, team member and leader. He has always demonstrated high integrity and put the company first in his decision making and idea sharing process, and he rises to new challenges with creativity, enthusiasm and optimism. I’m very excited to have Scott in this new position.”
In this new role, Pugliese will be responsible for leading the engineering department, as well as custom manufacturing, advanced product development and product design engineering.
