La Sportiva N.A., makers of technical climbing, mountaineering, Mountain Running and hiking footwear, has entered into a new distribution agreement for Mexico with ALTA Vertical. The partnership is effective immediately and will help to foster a greater presence for the La Sportiva brand in Mexico. ALTA Vertical, based near Mexico City, will now serve all existing dealers in Mexico.
“This new arrangement will help to improve availability and dealer service in all of Mexico,” says Jonathan Lantz, President of La Sportiva N.A. “Coordinated marketing efforts and better product availability are going to be great for our brand and for the Mexican consumer.”
ALTA Vertical, currently the Mexican distributor for Petzl, has a strong knowledge of the Mexican marketplace as well as its ardent outdoor community. They will distribute La Sportiva's entire line of technical climbing, mountaineering, Mountain Running and hiking footwear including the new MorphoDynamic Mountain Running line set to debut today at Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City, UT.
“To promote our new partnership together, La Sportiva will be one of the main sponsors of the Petzl Roc Trip Mexico 2010,” says Alejandro Rivera of ALTA Vertical. “The support of the Roc Trip will help launch of the new distribution channel building awareness for La Sportiva. Our goal will then be to focus on improving product availability and stream lining distribution services in Mexico.”
