L.L. Bean is expanding its retail footprint to include a new outlet store in Biddeford, a city in York County, Maine.
Jason Sulham, the company’s public affairs manager, reported that the 14,500-square-foot store will move into an existing space near the Market Basket grocery store in The Shops at Biddeford Crossing.
L.L. Bean expects to hire roughly 30 people to work in the Biddeford outlet store. The retailer plans to open in late April 2025.
L.L. Bean was founded in 1912 by Leon Leonwood Bean and is a privately held, family-owned company headquartered in Freeport, ME. The company has long been known for outdoor gear and clothes, including its classic duck boots and canvas tote bag.
