Kwik Tek Inc., manufacturer of Airhead and Sportsstuff watersports products, based in Denver, CO, has acquired Synergy Sportz, which  manufacturers Yukon Charlie’s and Sherpa snow shoes, snow shoe accessories and trekking poles and Slip Nots winter traction devices.

“This acquisition will accelerate Kwik Tek’s growth in the winter sports market,” Kwik Tek CEO Aaron Kramer said of the April 4 transaction. “We are both industry leaders on our own, and we will be even stronger and better together.”

Former Synergy Sportz co-owners Dan Roy and Bill LaPierre have joined KwikTek as vice president of winter sports and sales manager for Kwif Tek and Synergy Sportz respectively.

“We have been looking for the right partner to help us continue to build on the success of the Yukon Charlie’s brand name in the winter sports and outdoor recreation markets,” Roy said. “We feel becoming part of the Kwik Tek platform is a perfect fit.”

LaPierre said he looks forward to sell a broader range of products to customers.

“I truly believe this partnership will strengthen our long term relationships with key customers by continuing  our commitment of providing the best in winter gear, and now being able to present a true all season line of outdoor recreational products with Kwik Tek’s brands and products,” LaPierre said.
