Krimson Klover, a Colorado-based clothing company for women, will donate 5 percent of proceeds from sales of its Marta Sweater to First Descents, an inspiring and progressive organization that works with those living with cancer.

First Descents offers young adult cancer fighters and survivors free outdoor adventure experiences, empowering them to defy their cancer, reclaim their lives and connect with others doing the same.

Founded in 2001 by pro kayaker Brad Ludden, whose life was impacted by his aunt’s battle with cancer in her thirties, First Descents began by offering young cancer patients kayak trips. The trips enabled participants to start “living beyond their disease,” giving them hope, self-confidence, and meaning while mitigating depression and anxiety.

First Descents now offers mountaineering, surfing, rock climbing, and kayaking programs in 11 states and four countries, and serves more than 1,000 young adults every year.
