Klean Kanteen named Michael Duffy as the company’s U.S. sales manager. This is the first major addition since the company hired Scott McGuire as sales director in April.
Duffy makes his way to Klean Kanteen after nearly two decades in sales and marketing with core, independent specialty companies. He served as sales and marketing director at Rapid Media, marketing manager at Cypress Grove Chevre and before this as sales and marketing director at Kokatat, manufacturer of premium paddling equipment. He worked in customer service at Yakima and in retail at Adventures Edge in Arcata, giving him a broad view of all aspects of wholesale business.
In his role, Duffy will lead the company’s wholesale growth efforts in the domestic market. He will be directly responsible for Klean Kanteen’s U.S. rep force and will work closely with wholesale channels. In addition, Michael will also serve as point person for Klean Kanteen’s ever-expanding corporate and co-brand efforts including the corresponding non-profit and fundraising components. Like all Klean Kanteen staff, Duffy will also serve as a steward of the company’s mission of environmental responsibility.

Outside of the office, Michael spends the majority of his time cycling, sea kayaking, cooking, coaching youth soccer and spending time with his family and pets.  Klean Kanteen is proud to welcome him into the family and benefit from his rich sales experience to further drive the company’s growth.
