Kelty Starts Selling Direct at Revamped Website

Kelty threw the switch on its completely redesigned website www.Kelty.com, allowing customers to buy directly from the brand for the first time.

The company said new features on the website include highly effective search tools to find gear, enhanced imagery and consumer reviews to research products, and heightened Facebook and Twitter interactivity. Kelty fans will be able to create wish lists and post reviews. It also includes a featured products page, promotion updates, video product descriptions, and an interactive photo gallery to encourage Kelty consumers and business partners to revisit the site regularly.

“Here at Kelty, we design and build gear to help make it easier for busy, active, outdoor people to get the most out of their outdoor adventures,” said Sue Edmiston, Kelty marketing manager.  “With the new website’s upgraded research tools and direct-to-consumer sales, Kelty is now making it easier for these same people to find and purchase the gear they need.”

Further enhancing the Kelty shopping experience, Kelty.com will also give outdoor enthusiasts the ability to purchase equipment directly from a selection of five other online retail partners or locate a brick-and-mortar retailer near them. Retail partners listed on the site are Backcountry.com, BackcountryEdge.com, Campmor, REI and Summit Hut.

Kelty will continue to utilize shopper input to further enhance the new website.  This information will also be made available for Kelty retailers to more effectively address the needs of their customers.
