Kellwood has appointed George Sokolowski as vice president of strategy and chief marketing officer. He was most recently managing partner of SkyTop Advisors, a retail marketing advisory group. He succeeds Patrick Burns, who was promoted to group president of Kellwood's Lifestyle Alliance in September.
Sokolowski will be responsible for strategic planning and tactics, brand development and positioning, consumer research, trend analysis and building relationships with key retailers.

Through its American Recreation division, Kellwood operates several brands in the outdoor space, including Kelty, Sierra Design, Slumberjack and Royal Robbins.
