Keen Footwear has named Tim Bartels as Vice President of Sales. His appointment is effective immediately. Bartels is a Senior Management Executive with 24 years of industry experience in both the Footwear and Action Sports Industries. He most recently comes from the Action Sports category as Senior Vice President of Sales of DC Shoes. Prior to DC Shoes he spent 15 years at Nike in numerous sales and sales management roles.
He has extensive experience in the U.S., as well as International Sales and Merchandising responsibilities.
On his move to Keen, Bartels said, “I am excited to be working with the team at Keen. It is great to work with this young, dynamic company, which has created a strong brand and innovative products in just three short years. I look forward to being a part of the Outdoor Industry and on the leadership team that will guide Keen into the future.”
Originally from the Midwest, Bartels has spent over 20 years on the West Coast in both California and Oregon. He and his family will be relocating soon from Encinitas, California, to the new Keen headquarters in the Pearl District of Portland, Oregon which is schedule to open April 24, 2006.
