USA Luge is pleased to announce that its Senior National and Junior National luge teams will be outfitted with Karbon Outerwear as they compete throughout the 2003-04 luge-racing season.
Karbon, based in Toronto, Ont., Canada, agreed to a long-term commitment, Tuesday, Nov. 18 , as the association's official “Technical Outwear Supplier.”
“Our athletes and coaches count on being warm, dry and comfortable during the luge season,” commented USA Luge marketing director and 1998 Olympic silver medallist, Gordy Sheer. “Karbon will allow our athletes to do so in style.”
As the association's official “Technical Outwear Supplier,” Karbon will provide USA Luge's athletes and staff with jackets, insulated pants, and winter hats and gloves. Karbon's logo will be displayed on both the Senior National Team and Junior National Team World Cup and World Championship racing speedsuits, as well as the team's other winter clothing.

All Karbon products are designed with the highest technical specs and features and we are pleased that international and World Champions utilize these garments to their fullest capabilities,” added Peter Schure, Schure Sports Inc. resort and team program coordinator. “USA Luge will be one of several elite teams that will partner with us in researching and developing new fabrics and technologies that will give Karbon an unprecedented level in active apparel.”
