Kammok, the Austin, TX-based designer of high-performance outdoor gear for camping, is giving 100 percent of all of today’s proceeds to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts through a donation to the American Red Cross Foundation. After today, all proceeds from the Texas Flag Hammock will indefinitely support Harvey and the road to recovery. Kammok’s hearts are in Houston and the entire effected region flooded by the storm.

“We are praying for our fellow Texans who are walking through suffering, pain and loss,” said Greg McEvilly, founder of Kammok. “Our contribution is only a small drop in the bucket towards providing restoration in the long path toward recovery, but we are committed to seeing this storm through. Times like these are incredible opportunities for our team, personally and corporately, to enter into the adventure of changing lives with a message of hope, healing, and restoration. Thank you for partnering with us to bring aid to our hurting state.”

In 2010, McEvilly developed the company’s Glider weather shelter after witnessing the tragedy of the Haiti earthquake that year. Kammok sought to redefine the weather relief shelter by combining the basic human needs for shelter and water in a single piece of equipment. Additionally, from 2011-2014, Kammok provided life-saving malaria treatments and shelters to 50,000 people in malaria-ridden countries worldwide.
