Kahunaverse Sports Group, one of Canada’s largest providers of institutional and team sporting equipment, apparel and accessories, has acquired Soccer Express Trading Corp.
MNP Corporate Finance Inc. was the exclusive financial advisor to Kahunaverse Sports Group in structuring and negotiating this transaction.
This transaction will expand Kahunaverse Sports Group’s (Kahunaverse) operations to include a wide variety of soccer products and services, increasing the breadth of sporting categories in which they operate. This acquisition will allow Kahunaverse to utilize the expertise that Soccer Express Trading Corp. (Soccer Express) delivers to their retail and institutional clients.
Kahunaverse is continually growing and has locations across Canada. Kahunaverse retails sports equipment for baseball, softball, basketball, football, rugby, tennis, badminton, track and field, and volleyball and carries popular brands such as Rawlings, Adidas, Under Armour, Easton and Schutt. Kahunaverse was created via the merger of two Canadian companies, Home Run Sports and Big Kahuna Sport Co.
Soccer Express was established in Coquitlam, B.C. and has been serving its customers for more than 28 years. Soccer Express carries a wide variety of soccer inventory and stock keeping units (SKUs). In addition, Soccer Express has a notable online presence, as well as distribution centers in eastern and western Canada.
