K-Swiss plans to open its first-ever running retail store in the Tienmu area of Taipei, Taiwan. To celebrate the grand opening, K-Swiss will host a high energy 10K Race in Taipei that has already attracted the maximum capacity of 2,500 runners on Sunday, February 22nd. The company said the initiative will further reinforce the brand’s “global commitment to the running community through leading-edge product and athlete support.”

“K-Swiss will bring a community resource to the people of Taipei and will help spread the enthusiasm that has drawn so many to the world of running,” said Daisy Lin, K-Swiss Regional Marketing Manager for Asia Pacific. “This initiative further establishes K-Swiss not just as a provider of the best performance product, but as a true supporter and resource for runners wanting to elevate their personal performance.”

Inside its sleekly designed storefront, K-Swiss will offer cutting-edge footwear, apparel, accessories and lifestyle components for all levels of athletes.  The storefront also serves as a networking resource and gathering spot for the local running community, offering organized training runs led by staff specialists for runners of all abilities from casual runners, to triathletes and marathon hopefuls.  High-tech equipment including a treadmill and foot scanner will also assist runners in finding the perfect footwear that best fits their gate cycle and running style to enhance their overall performance.

Congruent with the store opening, K-Swiss unveils for the first time in Asia their top two running styles: the Run One miSOUL TECH and K-Ona. The  Run One miSOUL™ TECH features the first ever modular individualized sole system engineered for customized performance, and was recently recognized with the esteemed “Best New Running Shoe” award by the U.S.-based Running Network.  This accolade, awarded by a group of independent testers, is an incredible testament to the brand’s relevance.  Additionally, the super lightweight K-Ona is the ultimate shoe for an Ironman, providing optimum comfort, breathability, stability, cushioning and drainage.
