K-Swiss appointed Anwar Carrots, the creative director and founder of the Los Angeles-based streetwear brand Carrots by Anwar Carrots, as creative director of K-Swiss Racquet Club (KSRC), its new premium line.

The first KSRC drop launches July 10 and features six styless that remix K-Swiss classics with modern updates, including the Konejo (tech-runner vibes), Before the Classic (low-profile), SI-18 International C (skate-inspired bulk), Gstaad Gold (earthy workwear tones), Classic 66 (sleek/glossy), and Slammklub (bold red/gum soles).

The Carrots by Anwar Carrots brand was launched in 2015 and plays up bold colors and distinctive graphics, predominantly in menswear printables. The designer has also collaborated with Puma and Crocs on limited-edition footwear collections, as well as with Walmart on an apparel collection.

“I’m not just collaborating. I’m contributing to the rebirth of a legacy,” said Carrots in a media release of the K-Swiss partnership. “It’s always part of my vision to align with heritage brands that have real roots. My role now is about bringing heritage, culture and clean white tennis shoes straight from my creative garden. I had to take it back. I placed my mind in 1998, back to being eight years old in Orlando, FL. My dad used to rock K-Swiss heavy, and the way he’d coordinate his outfits with a fresh white pair was always clean to me. That memory is what shaped this collection.”
