K-Swiss appointed Mike Miringoff as global director of tennis for the K-Swiss brand.
In this role, Miringoff is responsible for all aspects of the performance tennis business in North America, including sales, marketing and product. In addition, the role sets the direction that will be followed by the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and APAC (Asia and Pacific) regions. He will report directly to Barney Waters, brand president of K-Swiss.
“Mike has a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the tennis world and will breathe new energy into our long-term tennis strategy and direction,” said Waters. “He will be the voice and vision of K-Swiss tennis, leveraging his leadership and expertise to grow and evolve our expanding business.”
Miringoff joins K-Swiss from Wilson, having spent the past five years living in Shanghai, China as Wilson’s Asia Pacific region commercial manager. He has deep experience in the tennis industry in racquets, accessories, footwear and apparel, across the disciplines of business management, commercial, sales, product and marketing.
Previously, Miringoff was the western regional sales manager for the brand, based in California. Prior to Wilson, he was the key account manager for the Western USA region for Nike, working on apparel and accessories in the sporting goods channel. Miringoff has also served as the director of player development for the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in the Southern California Region, and played Division I tennis at the University of Kentucky.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of K-Swiss and to work with one of the best known and loved tennis brands in the world,” added Miringoff. “I look forward to building upon the foundation and work to take the brand to even greater heights.”
