JumboMax Golf Grips announced that golf industry veteran, Chris Plummer, has joined the company as director of operations.
Plummer has over 25 years of experience working in the golf industry working in retail in 1994 and later becoming director of golf club sales at The Villages, an over 55 active adult golf community with over 125,000 residents and in three central Florida counties.
While at The Villages, Plummer earned several accreditations and honors including Ping Regional Club Fitter of the Year in 2006, Callaway Club Fitter of the Year in 2006, Callaway Southeast Region Club Fitter of the Year 2009 and was a Nike National Advisory Staff Member from 2010-2015 and a Taylormade National Advisory Staff Member from 2016-2020.
As director of operations, Plummer will handle all aspects of daily operations for JumboMax including production, OEM’s, handling inventory control, and developing and managing national accounts.
“I’ve known the guys from JumboMax since 2009 when they stopped by my shop and asked me to take a look at their grips,“ said Plummer. “I was immediately intrigued and decided to have them out for a Demo Day to see how they would be received by the residents at The Villages. They were an instant success and continue to be a top-selling grip at The Villages to this day. I’m extremely excited now to be able to join the team at JumboMax and help them continue to grow and get the word out to everyone about how great the grips look, feel, and perform. Hopefully, with my 25+ years in the industry, I can be a great asset to the company and assist to continue to push the boundaries of grip innovation and fitting for the benefits of all golfers!”
