Jordan Brand appointed Shannon Watkins, former chief brand and marketing officer at Aflac, as chief marketing officer, effective May 16. She replaces Sean Tresvant, who is leaving the company to work for Taco Bell as global chief brand officer.
Watkins joined Aflac in 2018 and was responsible for its partnership with ESPN’s College Gameday. Before Aflac, where she also served as a VP and SVP, she spent over eight years at the Coca-Cola company. She was named one of AdWeek’s Most Powerful Women in Sports for 2021.
“We need innovative leadership, someone who can lead us into the future by pushing creativity, championing diversity and bringing our purpose to life,” said Jordan Brand CEO Craig Williams. “Shannon’s experience across multiple industries and business sectors will do just that, helping to lead our marketing efforts into the future.”
Jordan Brand’s sales hit a record of $4.7 billion for fiscal 2021, up from $3.6 billion the prior year.
