Jones Group Inc., the owner of Nine West, is bidding for Jimmy Choo, people familiar with the situation told Dow Jones Newswires Tuesday.
Jones Group, whose brands include Nine West and Jones New York, is one of three potential buyers for Jimmy Choo which is being sold by owner TowerBrook Capital, according to the report.
Bahrain-based Investcorp and German luxury company Labelux Group have submitted a joint bid and U.S. buyout firm TPG is also in the process.
Reports suggest Jimmy Choo is worth between GBP400 million and GBP500 million.
