JD Sports Fashion has appointed Bert Hoyt, most recently vice president and general manager of Nike EMEA, as its non-executive director, effective immediately.
Hoyt joined Nike in 1998 and retired in January.
JD Sports said in a regulatory statement that Hoyt is acknowledged for transforming Nike’s business in Western Europe and EMEA over the last nine years, achieving growth in revenues and profitability. Prior to Nike, he spent 10 years at Puma as general manager for Puma International. Hoyt was a Top 200 ATP Tennis professional from 1977 to 1984.
