Jason Mayden, recently president of Fear of God Athletics, announced on Instagram that he is returning to Nike as senior global design director of Jordan Brand.
Said Mayden, “I’m filled with gratitude to announce my return to @jumpman23 as the Chief Design Officer. It’s been an incredible 23-year journey since starting as the brand’s very first design intern.”
Mayden held roles at Nike from 2001 to 2014, with his last position as senior global design director of Jordan Brand. Other roles included director of innovation, digital sport, and senior product designer, footwear/brand/apparel/innovation.
From 2020 to 2022, Mayden was the president of Fear of God Athletics, the Adidas-backed business backed by Los Angeles designer Jerry Lorenzo. From 2016 to 2020, he was CEO and founder of Super Heroic, a direct-to-consumer kid’s clothing and footwear startup backed by Foot Locker that shuttered in 2020.
Mayden will continue to oversee Trillicon Valley, a design house he founded in 2017, and as a visiting lecturer at USC’s Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young Academy.
