James Gatto, the former Adidas executive, agreed to pay $342,438 in restitution to Kansas, Louisville and N.C. State after being convicted on felony charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud last October.
The amounts include legal fees and the repayment of scholarships for four players.
Last month, Gatto was sentenced to nine months in federal prison after his conviction on felony charges of wire fraud and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Along with former Adidas consultant Merl Code and aspiring sports business manager Christian Dawkin, Gatto was accused of funneling money from Adidas to the families of high-profile recruits to ensure the players signed with Adidas and certain financial planners and business managers once they turned pro. The three are appealing.
