Jackson Kayak joined 1% For the Planet earlier this year and has designated American Whitewater as the main beneficiary of proceeds raised from the recent membership. AW is dedicated to the health and protection of the nation’s whitewater rivers. Jackson Kayak officially launches its environmental initiative April 1. From that date, the first 500 purchasers of a new Jackson Kayak will receive a free one-year membership to AW, courtesy of the Jackson family. This giving structure is not only financially beneficial to AW, but also involves the consumer directly with the organization.

“Jackson Kayak and the Jackson family believe that membership in American Whitewater is one of the easiest and most effective ways paddlers can support environmental river stewardship,” said Director of Sales Kristine Jackson. Jackson also serves on the board of American Whitewater.
