When Jack Wolfskin CEO Richard Collier announced his planned departure from the company at year’s end, he hinted at the upside of a local 30-minute bike commute with a new job in Oslo, Norway, in 2024.

Collier tipped his hand last week when he announced he would be the new CEO of luggage, travel gear and lifestyle brand Db, starting in January.

Collier resigned as CEO of Jack Wolfskin in September with an eye on transitioning the role to Matthew Jung, Jack Wolfskin’s GM of China, at year-end (read SGB Media’s coverage here).

Collier took the CEO role at Wolfskin in December 2020 after coming over from the Helly Hansen Group, where he was chief product officer.

Collier said on LinkedIn that Db is “a premium travel lifestyle brand based in Scandinavia, but growing rapidly across the globe” and “cant wait to work with the massively talented and creative team and build on the foundations that they, and our founder Truls Brataas, have laid. This is going to be a truly exciting journey.”

Collier offered a final thanks to the team at Jack Wolfskin. “They gave me a memorable send-off from Germany this week, and I have been proud to work with so many fantastic people for the last three years.”
