Macron, the Italian teamwear company, marked a significant milestone in its growth plans with the inauguration of its new U.S. headquarters in Bridgeport, CT. The event was attended by Giovanni Maruzzi, Macron’s chief sales officer and CEO of Macron U.S., and Angelo Marino, Macron’s chief communications officer, underscoring the importance of this strategic move.
Macron’s new U.S. headquarters, a 21,000-square-foot space, is a testament to its international vision and multi-country strategy. The space includes a warehouse with 300,000-plus technical sportswear pieces, an office, two showrooms dedicated to its teamwear and performance collections, and two areas for receiving, loading and unloading product.
The Bridgeport location is also fundamental for ongoing collaborations with clubs and sports federations, launching new projects and partnerships, and expanding business in the U.S.
Macron reported that it closed 2023 with a consolidated turnover of €196.6 million, representing an increase of 15.7 percent compared to the previous year.
Macron Sports Hubs have reached 176 worldwide and include the Macron Campus project with the construction of two new buildings that will double the size of its Bologna headquarters and the recent launch of the Macron Clubhouse, with the first Macron collection officially launched at Pitti Immagine 2024.
“The first months of 2024 have been really exciting,” said Gianluca Pavanello, CEO of Macron. “The growth of the company is tangible, not only in the numbers, but above all in the passion and participation of everyone in the many projects that are coming to fruition.
“The inauguration of Macron U.S. is one of these and represents an important milestone in a key market like the US, which has its own peculiarities but where the working philosophy is the same as ours: passion, commitment, team spirit, competence, and enthusiasm. In a scenario where team sports, and football in particular, are very popular, bringing our know-how can be a determining factor that will further contribute to pursuing the goal inherent in our company name of building a ‘Macro’ company, i.e., a company that is big worldwide”.
