Leaders of an investigation into the skiing accident that left legendary Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher in a coma seven weeks ago issued a report Monday exonerating he ski resort and the manufacturer of Schumacher's helmet and skiing equipment of any blame, European media reported.

Meanwhile, speculation turned to whether a helmet mounted camera Schumacher was wearing when his head struck a rock affected the severity of his injury.

Police have been investigating the Dec. 29 skiing accident, which occurred at the French ski resort Meribel near Schumacher’s chalet, using video taped by the camera to determine what occurred, the International Business Times reported. Schumacher remains in a hosptial in Grenoble, where doctors began rousing him from a medically induced coma late last month. They had induced the coma to prevent further swelling of his brain.
