Everlast Worldwide Inc. announced that it entered into a licensing agreement with Brooklyn, NY-based Gleason's Gym. Under the terms of the agreement, which covers the U.S., Aruba, and the U.K., the owners of Gleason's Gym will seek new locations and sign gym owners to brand their facilities using the name, “Everlast Gleason's Gym.” In addition, the gyms will exclusively feature Everlast boxing equipment and will be retailers for Everlast boxing equipment and apparel lines.

George Q Horowitz, chairman and CEO of Everlast Worldwide Inc., said, “The teaming of Everlast with Gleason's Gym is a natural. Both names hold a position of preeminence and are legendary in the world of boxing. Everlast has outfitted many of the sport's greatest champions, many of whom have trained at Gleason's.”

Gleason's Gym is world-renowned as a training spot for some of the sport's most illustrious fighters. Jake LaMotta, Wilfred Benitez, Hector Camacho, Larry Holmes, Thomas Hearns, and Michael Spinks are but a few of boxing's greats to train at Gleason's. In addition, the storied gym has been featured in many movies such as Million Dollar Baby, Raging Bull, and Midnight Run.
