A recent partnership between Interbike and GSD Productions will bring cyclo-cross racing to the Outdoor Demo East, held October 8-11, 2009 at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island.
Held in tandem with the newly announced Outdoor Demo East consumer days (Interbike Festival), the Providence Cyclo-cross Festival presented by Interbike will provide bicycling industry members, enthusiasts and novices alike with the rare opportunity to see, in action, many of the stars of the country's fastest growing bike racing segment.
“In order to appeal to as many members of the New England public as possible, we felt having a world-class race event would be a strong draw,” said Andy Tompkins, Interbike show director. “We felt that by partnering with an elite cross event like the Providence Cyclo-cross Festival, OutDoor Demo East would offer our exhibitors the best local retailers along with a significant consumer base to market to. Plus, we all need a little more cowbell in our lives.”
The Providence Cyclo-cross races are UCI ranked and part of GSD Productions' Verge New England Championship Cyclo-cross Series.
