Industrial Revolution, the privately-held Washington manufacturer and distributor of essential and reliable outdoor accessories such as UCO Candle Lanterns and Light My Fire camp kitchen products, is revamping their management team.

Keeping up with the high demands acquired from steady growth, the company is expanding the roles of two inside team members, adding a new product development manager and opening doors to potential new employees.

With revenue increasing 10-fold in the last eight years, Industrial Revolution has been repeatedly recognized as a “fastest growing company” by Inc 5000 and Washington’s CEOs. To better manage this outstanding progress, Graeme Esarey has been promoted to president, and will now oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. He was previously the director of marketing and product development.

Owner Keith Jackson is taking on the role of CEO in order to focus on future acquisitions and the cultural and strategic initiatives of the business.

“Since I purchased the company in 2005, our revenue has grown by an order of magnitude,” said Jackson. “The internal changes we’re implementing in the management team strengthen the company and allow us to focus on growing it in a healthy, profitable fashion while looking forward to the next decade of advancement for our team.”

The most recent hire, Peter Pontano, is joining Industrial Revolution as the new product development manager. Pontano hails from K2 Sports, where he was the senior design engineer responsible for Ride Snowboard’s binding systems. Along with being named K2 Sports Innovator of the Year in 2008, Pontano has also won design awards and had patents issued to him. With a strong passion for the outdoors, Pontano melds with the Industrial Revolution culture perfectly.

Since its founding in 1971 as UCO, the Original Candle Lantern company, Industrial Revolution has expanded to become a leading manufacturer and distributor of products that promote fun, safety, and comfort in the outdoors. In addition to UCO candle lanterns and Stormproof Matches, Industrial Revolution makes YayLabs! Ice Cream Balls, Pedco tripods and clamps, and Grilliput portable grills. The company is also the US distributor Swedish Light My Fire products such as the Spork and FireSteel, German-based Esbit solid fuel stoves and cookware, myFC PowerTrekk Fuel Cell Charger and Morakniv (Mora knives).
