The National Lacrosse League (NLL) and IMG announced a multi-year partnership with representing the NLL's broadcast and sponsorship rights. The agreement will see IMG handle all international media and sponsor rights for the NLL, which opens its 25th anniversary season on Saturday, January 8th.

“We are looking forward to this dynamic new partnership that should take the National Lacrosse League to the next level,” said NLL Commissioner George Daniel. “NLL box lacrosse is an exciting sport with high scoring and hard hitting action. Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in North America and IMG is the right company to help us maximize our potential.”

“The NLL has had a very successful first 25 years,” said George Pyne, President of IMG's Sports and Entertainment Group. “I am very confident that IMG's global experience in media, sports, brand development and sponsorship will provide the NLL with the necessary capabilities for additional expansion and growth of the sport and its brand into the future,” Pyne concluded.

The National Lacrosse League is North America's professional box lacrosse league. The league, entering its 25th anniversary season, is comprised of ten franchises playing in the major markets of the United States and Canada: Boston Blazers, Buffalo Bandits, Calgary Roughnecks, Colorado Mammoth, Edmonton Rush, Minnesota Swarm, Philadelphia Wings, Rochester Knighthawks, Toronto Rock, Washington Stealth. Over the course of the past five years, the NLL has averaged over 10,000 fans per game.
