Icebreaker hired Rosanne Palmisano as Global Vice President of Marketing. In this new role, Palmisano will lead the development of consumer and retail marketing strategies for Icebreaker in Asia, Australasia, Europe, and North America, while overseeing advertising, event marketing, communications, public relations, and the company’s online presence in each region.

Palmisano’s career track has entailed executive level marketing roles for global lifestyle brands including Nike, Gap, Inc., and The North Face. She brings seventeen years of marketing experience in the outdoor, sporting goods, and lifestyle apparel markets to Icebreaker, as well as a clear vision of the brand’s value proposition for today’s eco-savvy and performance oriented consumer.

“Icebreaker represents a dynamic growth opportunity on a global scale,” said Palmisano. “They’ve established great momentum in the outdoor industry by delivering premium design and performance innovation with a natural fiber, and with sustainable practices at every step of the process. That momentum is now expanding further into the lifestyle and active apparel markets. It’s exciting to be involved in a company that’s so authentically passionate about sustainability, while offering design-driven, functional apparel for a wide range of end-users.”

Palmisano will be based out of Icebreaker’s global headquarters in Wellington, New Zealand. “Rosanne has the energy and expertise we look for in taking Icebreaker to the next level, globally,” said Jeremy Moon, Icebreaker’s founder and CEO. “Each time we take a global growth step, we’re very focused on finding someone with the right skill set that understands the personality of this brand just as well as its direction. Rosanne will be welcomed in New Zealand as that person, leading our creative communications as a global brand.”
