Hydro Flask, which makes stainless steel containers, has expanded its headquarters staff in Bend, OR by hiring Brian Goodwin as a product designer and Ben Hein as a product engineer. 


 

Goodwin will focus on consumer and activity-specific product design. He brings a solution-oriented and well-rounded design style to the Hydro Flask team, having worked with brands such as Nixon, Nike+, Forum, Columbia, Incase, Microsoft, Adidas, and GE Appliances. Brian has extensive experience in product design, but also has led branding, packaging, and in-store retail campaigns that have elevated companies on a global scale.  His portfolio includes a variety of consumer-driven and design-oriented awards and accolades, including Consumer Reports Best Product Recognition, IDEA Gold Award, and Red Dot Design Award.


 

Ben Hein will take on the advancement of new hydration product concepts through the product development process. Most recently he was a senior design engineer at Yakima Products where his influential work resulted in the launch of a new award-winning hitch-mounted bike-rack product line. Prior to Ben’s time at Yakima, he worked in product development and engineering with brands such GigaPan Systems, Automotive Industrial Marketing Corporation, and Daimler-Chrysler AG. His work at GigaPan developing consumer robotic photography equipment resulted in Editor’s Choice Awards from both American Photo and Popular Photography magazines for the EpicPro product.

Goodwin began in mid-July and Hein will come on board on August 4th.
