Honey Stinger, the sports nutrition brand featuring honey, has appointed Scott Larson as the company’s senior brand manager. Larson’s appointment marks the third addition to Honey Stinger’s team in as many weeks, as the brand continues its steady growth.

Larson joins Honey Stinger with a breadth of experience, having worked across a variety of roles in branding and marketing, as well as the natural foods industry.

Larson began his career at IZZE Beverages, where he worked for five years before joining the team at Noosa yogurt. While at Noosa, he helped launch nine new flavors and two new sizes for the company, created a national field marketing program and developed the company’s brand positioning. Most recently, Larson was a member of the team at Beaver Creek Resort, where he served as brand equity manager.

A native of Evergreen, CO and a graduate of the University of Colorado, Larson is well accustomed to the mountain lifestyle offered in Steamboat and inherent to the Honey Stinger brand.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to be a part of the Honey Stinger team and to work alongside a group of people who share my passion for the outdoors—and for a company that celebrates this culture,” said Larson. “My family and I love to snowboard, mountain bike, trail run, and hike, and we’re excited to get settled in another great mountain town here in Colorado and take full advantage of all the activities that Steamboat has to offer.”

Larson’s appointment is just the latest in a series of new hires for Honey Stinger and comes on the heels of two other additions to the team announced last month: Kim Kourkoules and Sarah Mallicote, who joined the company as senior director of operations and chief financial officer, respectively.

“As our company continues to expand, we’re so pleased to add Scott to our growing roster of talented staff,” said Mike Keown, CEO of Honey Stinger. “He brings the ideal combination of industry experience, knowledge and personal passion to make him an exceptional fit for our team.”
