John Holst, formerly Territory Manager for Wilson Golf, has been promoted to the position of Eastern Regional Sales Manager, Wilson Golf & Racquet Sports. Holst will focus specifically on golf accounts. In his new position, he will direct a staff of 11 sales representatives and be responsible for all sales activity on the East Coast from Maine to Florida.

Holst brings a strong knowledge of the golf industry to his new position. In addition to serving as Upstate New York Territory Manager since he joined Wilson in 1997, he was also Florida Territory Manager in 2002. A graduate of Broome Community College in Binghamton, NY, he was the Head Professional at Cedar Knob Golf Club in Somers, CT from 1989-96.

John, who was honored by Wilson Golf with the Circle of Champions Award in 2001, resides in Syracuse, NY with his wife Anita and their two children.

With Wednesday’s announcement, the golf sales management in the newly formed Wilson Golf & Racquet Sports division is complete. Headed by John Embree, Vice President of Sales for Golf & Racquet Sports, the golf team consists of Tim Clarke, Director, Pro Golf Sales; Joe Oldham, Western Regional Sales Manager; Mike Long, Midwestern Regional Sales Manager; and Holst, Eastern Regional Sales Manager.
