Bob Holding, senior VP at Arc’teryx, is partnering with Jim Purdy, principle of Purdy Associates to form a new sales agency for the Pacific Northwest, Waypoint Outdoor. The new agency combines Holding’s extensive brand building experience at Patagonia and Arc’teryx with Purdy’s track record of success in the Pacific Northwest.

Holding will be transitioning from his role at Arc’teryx to Waypoint Outdoor through the end of 2007.

“It has been an incredible six years at Arc’teryx, and 2007 marks the achievement of some aggressive long term goals,” said Holding. “This opportunity provides me with the ability to get back to the United States and fulfill a dream of being a part of my own business – while also remaining a key part of the Arc’teryx team,” he added.

“Bob and Jim have been tremendous contributors to our success,” said Tyler Jordan, President & CEO of Arc’teryx. “We’re very excited to continue that success with Waypoint Outdoor.”

“This is a great opportunity for us to provide even more value to the brands we represent and the dealers we service. I’m extremely excited for the partnership and can’t wait to work together to drive our business to another level,” Purdy said.

Founded in 1998, the Seattle-based 8-person team of Purdy Associates represents Arc’teryx, Keen, Solio, Suunto, and Vasque in the Pacific Northwest.
