Hoka One One, the running shoe brand recently acquired by Deckers Outdoor Corp., hired two new sales agencies to support the brands growth in the Northwest and Southwest regions of the United States.
The True North Agency will handle a five-state territory in the Northwest and The Hartford Sales Group will cover the entire Southwestern region.
These are two very critical markets for Hoka One One and we wanted to put the right people in place to not just support, but drive our business in these regions, said Jim Van Dine, brand president of Hoka One One. Weve built a great team behind this brand and Im confident the addition of Jenny, Larry and their respective teams will contribute to our success.
True North, managed by industry veterans Jenny Fredericks and Mike Stevens, will cover Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Alaska. Based in Seattle the duo brings a track record of success with their signature passion for sales and relationships at both the key account and Independent levels.
Ive been a brand builder my entire footwear career, says Jenny Fredericks. Hoka One One offers a unique proposition in the running space that stands to change the industry. As an avid runner and user, were thrilled to help take this brand to the next level.
The Hartford Sales Group, managed by Larry Hartford, will manage California, Arizona, and Nevada with his team of sales representatives from a central base in Laguna Niguel, California. As a lifetime runner who was sidelined by injury, I am personally very passionate about the product, as Hoka’s technology has enabled me to run again.
Hoka One One, designs shoes that feature a midsole volume two and a half times greater than traditional styles. While much of the attention of the industry has been focused on minimalism and less cushioning, Hoka One One has pursued its design innovation in the opposite direction, and the results speak for themselves: runners wearing Hoka One One have recorded more than 30 podium finishes on five continents in the past 18 months.
