Hillsound has hired Rick Thompson to represent its line of footwear traction equipment and gaiters in the Midwest and signed on new Japanese and Hawaiian distributors.  
 
Thompson, has been in the outdoor industry for nearly 20 years and will be servicing retailers in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Michigan.  Thompson currently works with Dock Rite, Seger of Sweden, Gloves International and Pau Hana Surf Supply.
 
“Being an avid outdoor enthusiast, I was drawn to the quality of Hillsound’s products and their commitment to service and innovation in this category,” said Thompson.  “I’m excited about the enthusiasm surrounding the brand, and can’t wait to take them to the next level here in the Midwest.”

Hillsound has also partnered with Kenkosya Pty Ltd. in Japan, who currently distributes Sherpa, Injinji, Big Agnes, Terra Nova and Vargo.  In Hawaii, Justin Cruz will distribute Hillsound to tackle the growing demand for mud traction devices among hikers in the Hawaiian Islands.
