Helle’s Board has announced the appointment of longtime partner Matt Huff as the company’s new Board chair. Huff was responsible for the reintroduction of Helle and its repositioning in the U.S. market in 2010 and has “contributed to the strategic direction of the brand in the 15 years since,” the company stated in a media release.
Huff currently manages Helle’s International Sales and Business Development, including over 300 retail accounts in the U.S as director of International Sales.
“I have enjoyed working closely with A/S Helle Fabrikker since 2010,” said Huff. “I appreciate the confidence that the Helle family has shown in me in the appointment as Board Chair, and I’m eager to play a role in helping the company achieve its long-term goals.”
Huff, an American who has spent much of his career living in Europe, has “made new market entry of luxury brands his life’s work and had several postings in this discipline before founding his own consulting firm with this focus,” continued Helle.
As the newly appointed Chair, Huff will support the Helle board in developing the company’s overall business strategy, both at its headquarters in Norway and abroad.
“Matt has been a valuable partner to Helle Knives and the Helle family ownership for over a decade, and we know that he will continue to provide tremendous guidance in his new role as chair,” remarked A/S Helle Fabrikker Managing Director, Svein-Erik Helle. “His experience in international sales has been invaluable, and his expertise is particularly important during the complex global trading climate that the world is currently facing.”
