Helinox opened its third multi-story creative center, “Helinox Creative Center Tokyo” (HCC Tokyo), on May 19.

Located in the Harajuku neighborhood and celebrating the brand’s 10th Anniversary in Japan, HCC Tokyo is the first Helinox flagship location outside its home country of South Korea. HCC Busan opened in March 2023 to complement the brand’s original location in Seoul.

Helinox manufactures lightweight, packable outdoor furniture with the introduction of the Chair One, a lightweight and compact yet load-bearing chair created for the outdoor market. Since then, Helinox has continued to expand its range of outdoor furniture, which now includes chairs, tables, cots, and accessories.

Helinox has collaborated with brands, artists and designers, including Leica, Nike ACG, Kaws, Verdy, Porsche, and Medicom Toy, among others, to demonstrate the brand’s ability to “transcend traditional outdoor.”

The first floor of HCC Tokyo is designed around black and gray tones, giving it an industrial feel, and features the brand’s outdoor and tactical lines. In contrast, the second floor is a warm white and woody space with a wide range of outdoor and camping goods, including its Home line and Helinox’s bag line, TERG. The store also features a pop-up space for collaborations, capsules and events.

For the grand opening, the centerpiece of HCC Tokyo is a fragment design capsule collection by Hiroshi Fujiwara, a globally-recognized streetwear designer, musician and creative. Using Helinox’s Tactical Line as the foundation, the fragment design collection is finished with details such as spec tags, engraving on poles, and jacquard tape with the names of the collaborators. In addition to outdoor gear, art and unique displays were created for the opening.
