Helinox, the manufacturer of lightweight, portable furniture and accessories since 2009, has hired industry veteran Courtney Matthews as vice president of marketing for North America, based in its U.S. headquarters in Berkeley, CA.

Matthew joins the company with strengths in brand marketing, go-to-market sales strategies, team building, and designing and executing omnichannel programs. She will lead all marketing initiatives for Helinox NA as the company expands into new outdoor product categories.

“Courtney has focused her career on the outdoor industry, and there are few marketing pros out there with the mix of skills, experience and depth that she brings to the table from a range of executive positions at Outside, Active Interest Media and Rodale, among others,” said Azul Couzens, Global CMO and President, Helinox North America. “As we continue to build and grow Helinox in the North American market, it’s critical that our entire team understands the outdoor landscape and the needs of retail partners and the customer, and it’s an honor to have Courtney on board to help us move forward.”

Matthews’ former roles include principal at CMMC Consulting, senior director of sales strategy at Outside, Inc., executive director of marketing and marketing and business development director at Active Interest Media and marketing director and other executive roles at Rodale, Inc.
