Hayter Communications has named Eric Doyne communications director for the agency. Doyne will drive media relations, marketing communications and new business developments out of his home office in Los Angeles.

Having previously spearheaded communications programs for top technology and consumer companies, Doyne brings both corporate and product communications know how to Hayter Communications and the action sports and lifestyle industries. His years of global communications agency experience will bring new services and communications strategies that will help companies reach millions of people the right way.

“Dr. Doyne is a rock-star PR pro,” said Ryan Hayter, agency founder. “He’s a natural with the media and works well with corporate suits and core athletes. When he’s not downloading music or dirt jumping, he’ll do wonders for our clients and the industry.”

Doyne, a fervent mountain biker and snowboarder, leaves his five-year post at Ogilvy PR’s Beverly Hills office where he managed the Giant Bicycles account and directed action sports public relations efforts for the LG Mobile Phones account. He’s a graduate of the Journalism School at California State University, Chico.

“Action sports have been my life growing up as a Californian, and it’s great to be able to be involved in an industry I’m passionate about,” Doyne said. “Hayter has a successful business helping companies develop their brands and generate broad exposure, and I’m confident I’ll keep that tradition alive, and take it to a new level.”
