Harvest Hosts, a membership program that gives RVers access to RV camping options, is acquiring Brit Stops, a company that connects motorhome tourists in the U.K. with a network of small businesses and farms where they can stay overnight free while patronizing the local businesses.
Brit Stops, founded in 2010, has a network of over 1,100 hosts across the UK and Ireland. This move is Harvest Hosts’ latest expansion and first push into the European market. Tom Clark, who has worked as the company’s general manager, will stay on.
Harvest Hosts will use the acquisition to capitalize on the increase in travel via recreation vehicles and strengthen its global outdoors enthusiast community.
The program will continue to operate under Brit Stops for the immediate future. Over the next year, Harvest Hosts will continue to develop the technology to make it easier for the expanding category to find unique stops.
