Haro Bicycles announced new leadership appointments across BMX, MTB, performance, and road cycling.

Colin Varanyak was named director of product development and marketing, bringing a strong background in BMX, MTB and performance cycling to shape Haro’s future product lineup. “As a pro-BMX rider, product expert and industry leader, Varanyak has spent years pushing the sport forward,” the company said.

“Haro has been legendary in BMX since I started riding, and I’m beyond excited to help shape its future—not just in BMX, but across MTB and performance bikes, too,” offered Varanyak. “My goal is to bring fresh innovation and rider insights to the table, making sure Haro keeps breaking barriers and setting new standards.”

Lasse Norman Leth, an Olympic champion and elite road and track cyclist, is stepping into an expanded role as director of product marketing for road categories, driving Haro’s growth in road and gravel.

“Haro has been at the top of BMX for decades, and I want to bring that same innovative spirit into road and gravel. We’re going to challenge the standards in performance and design, just like Haro has always done in BMX and freestyle,” said Leth.

Ty Buckenberger, an experienced engineer who has played a key role in designing Haro’s latest platforms, including the Greer and Daley models, will now lead engineering and technical development. He has reportedly “spent years leading high-performance frame design, aerodynamics and advanced manufacturing processes.”

“Designing the Greer and Daley platforms has been an exciting challenge, and I’m looking forward to taking things even further,” Buckenberger commented. “My focus is on making sure Haro’s bikes perform at the highest level, from concept to production. With a tighter connection between engineering, marketing, and product development, we’re set up for long-term success.”

This new leadership structure is said to strengthen Haro’s commitment to “breaking down barriers between categories, making sure product, marketing and engineering work as one seamless team.”

“Bringing Colin, Lasse and Ty into these leadership roles is a huge step forward for Haro,” added CEO Bjarke Rasmussen.”We’re aligning product, engineering, and marketing in a way that ensures we stay true to the core of Haro, bridging disciplines, bringing joy to the ride, and continuing Haro’s path to becoming top of mind with retailers and riders alike.”
