Duties: The Hardlines Production Manager is responsible for all aspects of new product development for the Hardlines area from conception to commercialization. This position is responsible for interacting with merchants and vendors to achieve the company goals of sales, margin, and turn.
Their duties are:
- Development of private label products
- Coordinate samples
- Present products to merchants
- Sourcing of private label products in appropriate factories
- Packaging quality and content
- Quality control / defective rates
- On time shipments
- Fiscal performance of products (sales, margin, turn)
- Coordinate sourcing and buying trips to Asia
Successful Candidate Requirements:
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
Experience:
- Experience with Asian factories
- International travel experience, preferably Asia
- Valid passport with no restrictions
- Experience with product development in one or more of the following categories:
- Camping
- Hunting
- Fishing
- Table Games
- Exercise and Team Sports
