Hammerhead, the Karoo 2 cycling computer maker, promoted Jessica Braun to vice president of product. In her new role, she will lead its software and hardware teams.

“It became clear in a short period of time the incredible impact Jess was making on Hammerhead, both from a product improvement standpoint and as a dedicated coach and leader for the team. Her passion for research, dedication to the minute details of user experience and clear vision for product development will help steer us to an exciting future,” said Pieter Morgan, Hammerhead CEO and co-founder.

“I have spent the last decade obsessing over the opportunity I see ahead with digitally connected cycling product experiences, and I’ve been fortunate to work with the talented team at Hammerhead who share my passion for creating innovative and delightful products. Hammerhead’s product and design teams prioritize the rider and work cross-functionally to bring solutions to the market that make each ride better than the last. I am excited to grow our teams and expand our ability to rapidly and continuously deliver value to our customers. I look forward to working alongside Pieter, Laurence and our partners at SRAM as we move into this next phase of growth for our business,” said Braun.

Over the past 14 months, Braun and her team have developed countless software features, including Predictive Path Technology, which allows Karoo 2 riders to view upcoming elevations without a predetermined route.

Launched in 2013, Hammerhead raised over $14 million from investors, including Next Ventures, KB Partners, Primary, and Chris Froome. Hammerhead operates as a stand-alone brand within the SRAM portfolio.
