Gymshark, headquartered in the UK, has hired Sian Keane, Farfetch’s former chief people officer, for the same role she held for six years.
Keane worked for over 11 years at the luxury etailer Farfetch in various roles, including chief people officer (2018 to 2024), executive vice president of people (2017 to 2018), vice president of talent and people (2016 to 2017) and global talent and people director (2014 to 2016).
In her new role, she is responsible for the growth and management of employee strategy working to bolster its international omnichannel strategy to attract, develop and retain more top talent.
She is also a founding member of the education and community partnerships committee at the Fashion Minority Alliance.
Ben Francis, founder and CEO of Gymshark, said, “It’s no secret that I want Gymshark to become a brand that outlives us all. To achieve this, we need the very best people driving us forward and sharing this ambition – they are comfortably our most important asset. It was evident from the first minute of meeting Sian that she shared this belief. When you couple that with her track record, approach and values, she is the perfect person to lead this charge and play a huge role in taking Gymshark to the next level.”
Keane is the latest in a series of senior appointments at Gymshark, following Mat Dunn’s appointment as CFO from ASOS, Carly Nataliziaas’s appointment as chief digital officer from The Very Group, and Hannah Mercer’s appointment as general manager, wholesale and retail from Adidas.
Gymshark announced it will open its first store outside the UK this year at the UAE’s Dubai Mall as part of its global omnichannel growth.
