GU Energy Labs has promoted Magdalena Boulet to President. This appointment “represents an investment in the future of GU leadership that will sharpen its focus on innovation and growth.”

“Magda’s long history with GU and inspiring leadership style will put us in the position to pursue our next phase of strategic growth in ways that honor our history of innovation and passion for movement,” said Brian Vaughan, co-founder & CEO, Gu Energy Labs.

Magda began her career at GU in 1999 when she knocked on the door seeking nutrition advice for her post-collegiate running goals. Magda first worked alongside Dr. Bill Vaughan as GU’s lead research sssistant before taking a break in 2007 to pursue a professional running career, which included landing a spot on the U.S. Olympic Marathon Team and earning two team bronze medals in the World Cross Country Championships.

Since returning to GU in 2013 as vice president, she has led its R&D and Innovation team. “I thrive on competition, creative problem solving, and having fun doing hard things. I see my new role as a coach for the GU Crew and will draw energy, and creativity out of the people I work with,” said Magda. During her tenure at GU, she has also led sales and marketing teams building her knowledge to take on the company-wide responsibilities as president. Magda added: “I’m deeply honored and humbled by this opportunity and look forward to the work ahead as we develop and grow our teams and the business.”

Magda will also work in close partnership with Vaughn. He added: “This leadership change will give me the added capacity to focus my energy on our longer-term initiatives that are central to our shared purpose of feeding the need to move and our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint.”
